Type nine

STRESS

Type 9 enneagram, also known as the Peacemaker or Mediator, tends to deal with stress by avoiding conflict and seeking harmony. They tend to suppress their own needs and feelings to maintain peace, often at the expense of their own well-being. In times of stress, they may become passive-aggressive, procrastinate, or even shut down emotionally. They may also struggle with indecisiveness and difficulty taking action, as they fear upsetting others or causing conflict.

Type 9s may also experience anxiety and worry in stressful situations, as they struggle with feeling overwhelmed and uncertain. They may also become detached from reality and numb to their own emotions, using distractions and fantasies to escape from their problems. In extreme cases, they may turn to substance abuse or other self-destructive behaviors to cope with their stress.

It is important for Type 9s to recognize their tendency to avoid conflict and confront their fears and anxieties in order to effectively manage their stress. Learning to express their needs and assert themselves in a healthy way can also help them build stronger relationships and increase their sense of self-worth.
